West Bengal NEET PG counselling 2023: Apart from the choice filling process, the seat matrix and list of eligible candidates will be released today
The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) will release the seat matrix and list of eligible candidates for the West Bengal NEET PG stray round counselling 2023 today, October 11. Once released, students who registered for the round will be able to check the list on the official website at wbmcc.nic.in. The counselling committee will begin the choice filling process today at 4 PM.
Candidates who make it to the merit list will have to report to the allotted colleges between October 17 and 19 by 4 PM. On September 30, WBMCC opened the enrolment window for the West Bengal NEET PG stray vacancy cycle. The stray vacancy round was open to applicants who were unsuccessful in getting a seat in the prior rounds of counselling. It was open till October 9.
“The online registration process shall start from 4 pm of 09.10.2023 and shall end at 12 midnight of 09.10.2023. The online fee payment process shall start from 4 pm of 09.10.2023 and shall end at 7 am of 10.10.2023,” read the official notification by WBMCC.
The stray vacancy counselling allotment results were earlier slated to be declared on October 7 but the schedule was later revised. Following the union health ministry’s decision to reduce the NEET PG counselling 2023 qualifying cut off to ‘zero’, the Supreme Court approved the National Medical Commission’s (NMC) request to extend the NEET PG admission deadline to October 10 as a one-time measure. The step was taken to fill up the vacant positions across medical colleges. Following this, several states revised the schedule of the round 3 counselling process.
Meanwhile, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will close the registration process for the All India Quota NEET PG counselling 2023 stray vacancy round today. The merit list of the stray vacancy round will be released on October 14. Those who make it to the merit list will have to report to the colleges between October 15 and 20.
