Efforts On To Increase Number Of Airports, Heliports: Aviation Minister

Mentioning the aviation market's potential, he said domestic passenger numbers rose to 144 million in 2019 from 60 million in 2014, a CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) of about 14.5 per cent. He was speaking at the curtain raiser event here for the 'Wing India 2024' conference to be held next year in Hyderabad. According to the minister, under the three-pronged strategy, the focus is to create capacity, ensure there are no bottlenecks for aviation industry players and have simplified processes and procedures. Air India 'peegate': Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia assures of speedy action in urination incident

[ad_1] On Saturday, Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia promised swift action in the matter of a man who is accused of urinating on a female co-passenger on a New York-Mumbai aircraft last November. The accused, Shankar Mishra, was taken into custody by Delhi Police earlier in the day. The claimed event happened on an AI flight on November 26 of last year, travelling from New York to Mumbai. "Further action will be taken speedily after the completion of the ongoing proceedings," Scindia told reporters here without elaborating.
