[ad_1] While David Warner had not scored a century in Test match cricket since 2020, the left-handed batter chose quite an occasion to get to his hundred when he notched up a ton in his 100th Test. The 36-year-old achieved the feat during Day 2 of the Boxing Day Test match against South Africa at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia. The Aussie opener thus became only the second Australian to score a hundred in his 100th Test after former captain Ricky Ponting who had also achieved the feat against the same opposition back in 2006. Ecstatic celebrations followed from the 36-year-old who ended his nearly 3 year long wait of a Test hundred. While he would have looked to continue to accumulate runs, the southpaw seemingly injured himself while pulling off his characteristic jump celebration. Much like he got to his hundred, he raised his double century with a boundary. Warner appeared in some discomfort as he held his thigh before asking for help but the batter decided to walk back as the spectators at the MCG continued to applaud what had b...
