Indian Railways To Reduce Fares Of AC Chair Car By 25% In Vande Bharat Express, Other Trains

[ad_1] A Railway Board order has stated that the Indian Railways will slash the fares of the AC chair car and executive classes by up to 25 percent in all trains running across India, including the Vande Bharat Express trains. The move is set to benefit passengers who travel on trains like Vande Bharat Express, Shatabdi Express, Anubhuti and Vistadome coaches, depending on occupancy. The fares will also depend on those of competitive modes of transport, said the Railway Board. This scheme will not be applicable on special trains introduced as holiday or festival specials. As per a report on IANS, with a view to optimising utilisation of accommodation, the rail ministry has decided to delegate powers to principal chief commercial managers of railway zones to introduce discounted fare schemes in trains with AC seating. "This scheme shall be applicable in AC chair car and executive classes of all trains having AC seating accommodation, including Anubhuti and Vistadome coaches

Indian Railways To Launch 8-Coach Lucknow-Ayodhya-Gorakhpur Vande Bharat Express Soon

[ad_1] Indian Railways is getting ready to launch the Lucknow-Ayodhya-Gorakhpur Vande Bharat Express soon, which will be Uttar Pradesh's second Vande Bharat Express. It will also be the first mini version of the Vande Bharat train in the state, that will connect Lucknow to Gorakhpur via Ayodhya.
