Dudhwa Tiger Reserve hosts 2-day workshop on species recovery of endangered cats | Bareilly News - Times of India

[ad_1] PILIBHIT: Dudhwa Tiger Reserve (DTR) in Uttar Pradesh hosted a two-day consultation workshop on Saturday on species recovery plan and monitoring protocols with a special focus on fishing cats. The workshop was jointly organised by MoEFCC (ministry of environment, forest and climate change), UNDP (United Nations development plan), WWF (world wide fund for nature), GEF (global environment facility) and GTF (global tiger forum). On the first day of the workshop, the participants deliberated upon evolving a landscape level strategy, involving multiple government departments and local stakeholders. [ad_1] Bengaluru: The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has begun work on creating standards that private space tech players will be recommended to follow in procurement, manufacturing and operations. The Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) is part of a committee set up by BIS , which will also have other stakeholders. “As part of the committee set up for creation of these standards, IN-SPACe is drafting the standards that will be submitted to the BIS which will then go through a process of vetting it and then introducing them,” said IN-SPACe chairman Pawan Goenka. Once this is notified, he said, it would be recommended by the BIS that private industries follow these standards. Indian Railways To Launch 8-Coach Lucknow-Ayodhya-Gorakhpur Vande Bharat Express Soon

[ad_1] Indian Railways is getting ready to launch the Lucknow-Ayodhya-Gorakhpur Vande Bharat Express soon, which will be Uttar Pradesh's second Vande Bharat Express. It will also be the first mini version of the Vande Bharat train in the state, that will connect Lucknow to Gorakhpur via Ayodhya. The mini Vande Bharat Express comprises eight coaches instead of 16 and a mini version of the semi-high speed train currently operates between Chennai Central and Coimbatore Junction. As per a report on IANS, Divisional railway manager, NER-Lucknow, Aditya Kumar said, "The train will operate via Ayodhya connecting Gorakhpur to Lucknow."
