Evan Gershkovich, the Wall Street Journal reporter being detained in a Russian prison, appeared resilient during a visit with U.S. officials on Thursday, the U.S. Embassy in Moscow said. Canada central bank pauses rate hikes, holds at 4.5%

The anticipated move puts the central bank at odds with the Federal Reserve in the United States, which has indicated that more rate hikes will be needed to cool its overheated economy and rein in inflation. In a statement, the bank noted that the Canadian economy has slowed, as hoped — marked by unexpected zero growth last quarter — but said it was prepared to resume increasing costs of borrowing if needed to reach its 2% inflation target. The current rate is at its highest level since 2007. Six killed after business jet crashes in California, sparks 'fully involved' fire

[ad_1] Six people were killed when the plane they were on crashed in Murrieta, California on Saturday, according to officials.  The aircraft, a Cessna C550 business jet, went down near French Valley Airport around 4:15am local time, the Federal Aviation Administration confirmed to Fox News Digital. The FAA confirmed to Fox News Digital that at least six individuals were on board at the time of the crash.   The business jet was in route to California after departing from the Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas.
