Four killer whales spotted together in rare sighting in southern New England waters

[ad_1] Scientists spotted four killer whales swimming together off the coast of Massachusetts, the New England Aquarium said Tuesday.  It was a rare sighting; the only killer whale regularly seen in the area is "Old Thom," who's known to swim by himself, according to the aquarium. The pod of killer whales was first spotted by Katherine McKenna, an assistant research scientist.  "Initially I could just see two splashes ahead of the plane," McKenna said in a statement . "As we circled the area, two whales surfaced too quickly to tell what they were. On the third surfacing, we got a nice look and could see the tell-tale coloration before the large dorsal fins broke the surface." The four killer whales were seen about 40 miles south of Nantucket. There was one adult male, an adult female and two juveniles, Orla O'Brien, an associate research scientist who leads the aerial survey team for the Anderson Ca

She bared her chest in front of other passengers - including children - on the flight in protest of not letting her smoke in the lavatory on the plane. As per a report on Mirror, the woman passenger was restrained with cuffs on the flight, and was handed over to the cops upon landing in Moscow. A video has surfaced on the social media platforms revealing the moment when the woman - suspected of being intoxicated - was arguing with cabin crew as they sought to pacify her. As per reports, the high drama began at a height of 33,000 ft when Anzhelika Moskvitina locked herself in the toilet and smoked while the plane was going through turbulence. When asked to back to her seat, she bared herself open in front of everyone, and demanded to enter the cockpit. As business class passengers assisted the crew to restrain her, she bit one of t

The Briton, who left McLaren in March and was technical director at Sauber from 2010-12, will start at Hinwil on Sept. 1 as replacement for Jan Monchaux. The move reunites Key with former McLaren principal Andreas Seidl, now the Sauber Group chief executive heading up the transition to Audi. Seidl said Key's appointment was a "crucial step" in the process. "He has an outstanding amount of experience in the sport, not just as technical director, but also in various other roles within the technical organisation of a team," he said. "He will lead the transformation process of the technical side of the team, giving us the tools and direction we need to tackle the future." Franklin Graham, CEO and president of Samaritan's Purse as well as head of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, arrived at the recently built Samaritan’s Purse Emergency Field Hospital in Antakya, Turkey, following the devastating earthquakes there this month that have taken the lives of some 40,000 people or more to date.  When entering the facility, Rev. Graham greeted staff and thanked workers for their efforts as the situation in Turkey continues to impact vulnerable families, Samaritan's Purse shared with Fox News Digital on Saturday morning. Rev. Graham talked with those with whom he crossed paths — asking them where they were from and who they were, the organization reported. While he was there, a patient brought in included a 14-year-old boy who had been buried alive in the rubble for more than a week. But Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said that didn't mean Turkey had "substantially changed" its stance on key differences between the two countries and must "decisively abandon its aggressive and unlawful conduct" against Greece’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Turkey and Greece remain at odds over maritime boundaries in the eastern Mediterranean, a dispute that affects irregular migration into the European Union , mineral rights and the projection of military power.
