To announce a pregnancy at someone else's wedding is that one of the shadier moves you're gonna do.” Mr Seixeiro even went as far as to brand the entire process 'bigfooting' and added, “You're bigfooting the entire process for whoever's holding the wedding, you are telling everyone, 'look, we believe we are bigger than anything else going on here'.” [ad_2] Source link https://worldnews2023.com/top-stories/meghan-markles-shady-moves-ridiculed-at-someone-elses-wedding/?feed_id=189816&_unique_id=6569316808ff8

Prince Harry, Elton John appear in UK court as hearing begins in privacy case

Image
[ad_1] Pop superstar Elton John and Prince Harry have appeared at a London court on Monday, delivering a high-profile jolt to a privacy claim launched by celebrities and other figures against a UK's newspaper publisher. The Duke of Sussex, who relocated to the US after quitting royal duties in 2020 and launched a barrage of criticism of the British royal family, was all smiles as he arrived at the court in central London. Harry sat near the back of the court, two seats away from fellow complainant Frost. Others taking part in the legal action include actresses Liz Hurley as well as John´s husband David Furnish, Doreen Lawrence -- the mother of murder victim Stephen Lawrence -- and former Liberal Democrat deputy leader Simon Hughes. Lawyers for the group told the court the publisher of the Daily Mail commissioned the breaking and entry into private property, illegally intercepted voicemail messages and obtained medical records. "The claimants each claim that in dif

Canada Lands Volkswagen Battery Plant With Billions in Subsidies

Image
[ad_1] Volkswagen’s first North American battery plant for electric vehicles will be built in Canada, and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and other Canadian politicians made it clear on Friday that the country had effectively been in a bidding war with the United States. “We put up a lot of money,” Mr. Trudeau said at a news conference in St. Thomas, Ontario, where six assembly lines covering 370 acres will be built. “Everyone wanted this.” Volkswagen announced last month that it would put its first battery plant outside Europe in Canada, but provided few details. On Friday, Canada and the province of Ontario said they would give the company a combined 1 billion Canadian dollars — about $750 million in U.S. currency — to construct the factory, which will cost 7 billion Canadian dollars overall. A separate agreement will provide 8 billion to 10 billion Canadian dollars in subsidies over the next decade to match benefits that Volkswagen would have received under the Inflation Reductio

Prince Harry’s left with ‘no more goodwill’ to survive

Image
[ad_1] Prince Harry’s left with ‘no more goodwill’ to survive Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are allegedly being given a second chance, in the eyes of experts. Insights into this second chance have been brought forward by producer and entertainment coach, Paul Duddridge. According to a report by the Daily Record he weighed in on the entire matter candidly. In the midst of his chat, the expert began by noting how “Harry and Meghan may yet turn out to be beneficiaries of the [writers guild] strike.” After all, “It will give them a much-needed chance to review their creative strategies while using the industry shutdown as cover.” In the middle of his chat, Mr Duddridge also claimed that the strike “gives them an opportunity to regroup and retool their operations” for the purpose of “flipping the narrative.” This is because Mr Duddridge feels “they have seemingly worn out the goodwill of the Royal Family and have not set the world alight with their creative output in the US.” Hence

Ohtani hits 33rd HR, expects to make next start

Image
[ad_1] Jul 16, 2023, 02:27 AM ET ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Shohei Ohtani hit his major league-leading 33rd homer to key a tying rally in the ninth inning, and rookie Trey Cabbage scored on rookie Grae Kessinger 's throwing error in the 10th to give the Los Angeles Angels a wild 13-12 victory over the Houston Astros on Saturday night. The Astros' rookie shortstop threw wide of first base while attempting to turn an easy inning-ending double play on Taylor Ward 's grounder. Cabbage scored from third in only his second major league game to set off a festive celebration for the Angels, who rallied from a six-run deficit in the seventh and a three-run deficit in the ninth. The Angels can only hope their next win is a little bit less grueling than this victory, which snapped their six-game losing streak. "To say that win was needed is an understatement," Angels manager Phil Nevin said. And it came after the Angels received a dose of good news on Ohtani from a pitchi

Black Friday Travel Sales Are Here and Deals Abound

Image
[ad_1] As inflation continues to sting, more travelers are expected to hunt for bargains this year, and the industry is responding by offering deals across the travel landscape, from hotels to cruises and tours. “Despite inflation and higher prices, we continue to see a strong preference for experiences with travel,” said Brett Keller, the chief executive of the online travel agency Priceline , which will hold one of its biggest sales this month, including 30 percent off select hotel stays and up to 50 percent off rental cars. Given strong demand, travel companies can usually hold fast on prices, but by offering seasonal sales, they can hedge against changes in the future. “There is a benefit to hoteliers in securing bookings with more lead time so they can more accurately understand demand,” said Christine Guadenzi, the director of sales and marketing for the Family Coppola Hideaways , a collection of small hotels that includes the coastal Turtle Inn in Belize, which will offer

Matt Fitzpatrick beats Jordan Spieth in playoff to win RBC Heritage | CNN

Image
[ad_1] CNN  —  Matt Fitzpatrick conquered reigning champion Jordan Spieth in a playoff to seal an emotional RBC Heritage victory at Hilton Head on Sunday. With the duo unable to be separated at 17-under par after an enthralling final day battle, the Englishman broke the deadlock in stunning fashion on the third playoff hole, punching his approach shot to within inches of the cup before tapping home for birdie to clinch his second PGA Tour title. His first had come after a similarly close-fought final round at the US Open in Brookline last year. There had been a late scare then when his last tee shot found the bunker, and the 28-year-old’s heart rate will have been just as high when both of Spieth’s putts for birdie across the first two playoff holes looked destined to settle in the cup. Yet once again, Fitzpatrick endured, weathering the storm to become only the second Engli

Senate GOP campaign arm hits Rick Scott primary opponent with finance complaint

Image
[ad_1] TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Senate Republicans' official campaign arm in Washington is filing a complaint alleging that the Republican challenging GOP Sen. Rick Scott in 2024 used businesses he owns to make impermissible contributions to his campaign. The complaint from the National Republican Senatorial Committee is hitting Keith Gross, a Panama City, Florida, businessman and attorney who has said he would spend millions of dollars from his personal wealth to try and defeat Scott, a first-term senator and former two-term Florida governor. “Despite this well-known prohibition, Keith Gross for Florida, and two businesses have engaged in a flagrant scheme to pump corporate resources into the struggling primary campaign,” read the complaint, which is signed by NRSC Deputy General Counsel Blake Murphy. Gross did not return a request seeking comment. Scott is one of the only Republican senators facing a potentially competitive campaign for re-election in 2024, when most of the b
