Russia is multiplying its attacks on the war front to break Ukraine’s defenses, and the situation there is “getting tougher,” especially in the east, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in his nightly address.

Ukrainian officials said Russia struck the northeastern city of Kharkiv with missiles in the morning, injuring five people and damaging buildings.
